AVS RS8D – Parking Sensors with Display

Parking sensors are an affordable and effective way to improve safety around your vehicle. Whether you are going backwards or forwards there are many hazards which can cause damage to either your car or someone else’s property. And most importantly parking sensors can help detect a person or animal around the vehicle that you may not have seen.

For all round safety choose a set like this one which includes sensors for both the front and rear bumpers as well as a digital readout LED display.

Four sensors are included for the rear bumper adjustable buzzer audio warning that escalates the closer the car gets to the object. The sensors automatically come on when the vehicle is put in reverse. Not only do they assist with the blindspot behind the vehicle they help make parking a breeze!

Four sensors are also included for the front bumper. The front sensors come on automatically when you put your foot on the brake pedal if there is an object less than a metre from the front bumper. These sensors help you park if can’t see the front of your bumper or your find it hard to judge the distance between your bumper and an obstacle in front of the car.

Also included is an LED display for a visual warning aid. The bars light up the nearer to the object you get while reversing plus it also includes a secondary audio warning.

This clever display can be mounted at the front or rear of the vehicle as it has three separate display settings:

• Upside down view – mounted on the roof lining at the front of the vehicle
• Normal view – mounted on the dashboard at the front of the vehicle
• Reversed upside down view – designed to be viewed in the rear vision mirror it is mounted on the roof lining at the rear of the vehicle.

The AVS RS8D set includes:

• 4 black ultrasonic sensors for the rear bumper which come on automatically when the vehicle is put in reverse
• 4 black ultrasonic sensors for the front bumper which come on automatically when you press the brake pedal if the front bumper is less than a metre from an object (this set can also be used if you already have factory sensors on the back bumper – your installer can install just the front sensors)
